Many people ask us, “Is Kajabi any good? Can I teach an engaging, successful online course using Kajabi?”
You should take our opinion with a healthy pinch of salt, since we develop a competing online course platform.
That said, we’ll try to be as fair as we can. We’ve written an in-depth Kajabi review here — it includes a complete Kajabi feature comparison and decision guide.
Why use Kajabi?
Kajabi has powerful features for automated marketing.
For example, you can set up landing pages and automated emails to market your course in a specific way.
This can be helpful if you’re setting up a complex launch sequence for your course.
Kajabi also offers solid video hosting capabilities. With these plans, your videos are automatically processed and are hosted on a global content delivery network (CDN) for smooth playback.
Possible concerns about using Kajabi
Kajabi includes only limited support for discussion and online community. This can make it challenging to run a scheduled course with an active, engaged community.
Kajabi does not track how participants are progressing in a course — you can’t see analytics or get insight into how engaged participants are in your course. This can make it difficult to assess how well your courses are serving your participants, and improve them over time.
Kajabi does not offer any conferencing or webinar features for running teleclasses or webinar classes within your course. You would need to research, purchase, and manage a separate conferencing tool.
Kajabi is a relatively expensive solution in the solopreneur/small business market. The least expensive plan with full video hosting capabilities is $199/month, or $2,388/year. Comparable platforms offer plans starting at $74/month.
For further details about each of these concerns, please check out our in-depth Kajabi review here. The article includes an extensive Kajabi feature comparison and decision guide.
